Barefeet2005:
A Motorcyclist's Tribute to the
Barefoot Massage Therapists of America

Meet Team Barefeet2005

The goal for this trip, as last year, was to schedule an ashiatsu massage each day I will be on the road. I came close -- I've been able to line up barefoot therapists to work on me during 42 of the 46 days of the trip; for those occasions where I couldn't find an ashiatsu type, it will be the straight hands on version. There are 30 therapists involved, including 21 new to me. A number of them will work on me more than once, and there won't be a day that I don't get my bodywork treatment -- some at the beginning of the day, some in the middle, some at the end.

The therapists taking part in this year's adventure are pictured below (we'll see at the end of the trip if all of them are game to face the camera for me) and will be shown, in groups of six, chronologically in the order of their initial sessions with me. They are now bound together as fellow participants in Team Barefeet2005, and their captain, who also served last year, once again will be my dear friend Regina Burtt of Wentworth, New Hampshire. Regina, for those of you who don't remember, hosted Ruthie Piper Hardee's very first ashiatsu workshop back in 1999 or 2000. It was held in Regina's barn attached to her Wentworth home.

Enough with the introductories. Click on the buttons below to meet the therapists who are and shall always be the stars of Barefeet2005. I know already it's going to be a standout group.
